Benefits of exercise are widely studied and have been shown to improve mood, mental health, cardiac and lung function, weight stability, balance, bone density, joint movement and musculoskeletal conditioning and much much more. Sometimes when we have an injury or have had surgery we need specific exercises to help us recover or improve our function.

Pilates is a form of exercise that can be widely adapted to each individual and can involve joint movement, muscle stretch and strengthening components

Clinical pilates is patient-specific exercises prescribed specifically to you based on your current musculoskeletal conditions, injuries or post surgery. Clinical pilates requires an initial one-on-one consultation and assessment to prescribe and demonstrate exercises.

One-on-one guided pilates is available with and Osteopath (new Farm Clinic only) or a Physiotherapist (City and New Farm).

Group & Private Clinical Exercise Sessions

Group Clinical Exercise Class
Depending on your conditions and prescribed exercises you may be able to go from one-on-one sessions to small group sessions with a maximum of 3 people
Our small group classes are run by a physiotherapist with a maximum of 3 people to ensure that the Physiotherapist is able to individualise, guide and challenge you throughout your class.

Prior to being in a small group you will need, a 1:1 Clinical Exercise Initial Assessment with our Physiotherapist. This will allow the Physiotherapist to learn of any issues you may have, understand your goals and design classes that are specifically tailored to you.

Our 1:1 Clinical Exercise Initial Assessments and Group Clinical Exercise classes are claimable on private health insurance as they are taken by a Physiotherapist.

Private and Semi-Private Clinical Exercise
For those looking to focus on their goals and needs privately or with a friend, family member or partner, our 1:1 and 1:2 sessions offer a great way to do so. During these sessions our Physiotherapist or Osteopath will be able to work closely with you to focus on improving specific body areas, movements and technique.

Please note that it is required to have a 1:1 Clinical Exercise Initial Assessment with one of our Physiotherapists or Osteopaths prior to booking Private and Semi-Private sessions.

All 1:1 sessions with our Physiotherapist or Osteopaths are claimable on private health insurance however 1:2 sessions are only claimable if booked with our Physiotherapist.
